Notes

A hot and steamy afternoon rolled on into the night. This was the ampitheatre's first experience with an official taper's section (as opposed to "tape-in-your-seats" bands), and I came back from a visit to the Wharfrats to find the entire OTS moved. I had to scramble to get re-set up, and, as a result, the first 45 seconds of Jackstraw are left to your imagination. Sorry.

Otherwise this should be a good sample of a good night towards the end of a good run. Nice sprinkling of post-GD work and some interesting new arrangements of some old favorites. Looking back, I think, perhaps the So Many Roads stands out in my mind. Glad not to hear One More Saturday Night (which, a sage source -- who shall remain nameless -- informed me, pre-show, was the "guaranteed set opener."

Lots of old friends at this one, Craig (and Molly!), Penny and Maria, Spider-Dan, my bro John and his cool daughter Leah, Al and Janice, Carolyn, my mom (making the scene!) and Lynn, Tony (friends since 1967 - jeez), Pete and his wife, Andrew and his gf, Josh (OMSN), Jim and Cindy (or Cindy and Jim), and last, but certainly not least, new old friend Troy.

OTS in the back behind the 200's, sound was pretty good back there, and there were 20-25 mph wind gusts. I ran the Rykote screens, shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks Marcus- first for the ride and the best time I've had at a show in years, and now for the well-captured memory! Some great songs on a hot summer NE Florida evening with Phil in good voice. Excellent recording.

Had a great time during the first set. Was really happy to hear just a little light and get another crack at Celebration.

Amazing second set! The boys were really jamming out the segues. Loved the slip->playing fake out, great times.
